Apple released the first iPads into the wild on Saturday April 3, 2010. After years of speculation and months of hype it was finally in the hands of the common people (myself included).
I’m a Mac user (and a Windows user) and I’ve owned several iPods over the years. But I don’t own an iPhone (nothing is worth doing business with AT&T) and I didn’t go for an iPod touch until the 3rd gens. So I’m not someone who jumps on the Apple bandwagon. The iPad was the first Apple device, and really the only gadget of any type, that I’ve pre-ordered site unseen.
I find the hype interesting. While I don’t buy the hype I am intrigued by the iPad and did pre-order one. I was sold by the blank slate possibilities of the iPad and the potential it had. But I didn’t expect it to be perfect and it’s not.
So I started this site to track how I use the iPad over time along with it’s competition. After all, it is a game changer.
