Apple’s slogan for the iPad says it’s at a unbelievable price. Even though I did pre-order one I considered it a luxury. I wouldn’t describe the price as “unbelievable”. Especially when you consider that this is a device that’s supposed to save several content industries by making we want to buy their content, of which Apple gets a cut.
So let’s start keeping track. I pre-ordered the 16GB Wireless iPad which is the lowest price model, along with the case from Apple. For now I’ve skipped any other peripherals. I’ll wait and see how I us the magical device before I start buying the peripherals.
So the tab so far is $499 for the iPad, $36 for the case and $32.10 in taxes. Shipping was included (magical!) (I refuse to say free shipping since the shipping cost is baked into the price.)
So the unbelievable price so far is a completely real $567.10.
