Until recently I had a iHome clock radio with an iPad dock on the night stand next to my bed. About a month ago the iPod dock in the radio died. It wouldn’t charge the iPod or play anything through it. I was in the habit of going to sleep listening to music or podcasts from my iPad, using the radio’s sleep timer. Unfortunately the iPad doesn’t have a sleep timer, so while the iPad seemed to be an ideal replacement, it lacked one key feature so the search was on.

OmniFocus for iPad: First Impressions
Even though I was looking for a task manager, I purchased OmniFocus due to a errant click. Luckily I didn’t go with my first inclination to seek a refund. It’s been a week and OmniFocus seems to be fitting into my daily workflow even though I’m not a GTD disciple and I don’t use the desktop version. Here’s what I’ve liked and haven’t liked in my first week.

iPad Case Review: Marware Eco-Vue for iPad
I wasn’t completely satisfied with the Apple iPad case even though it had been growing on me so I recently bought a Marware Eco-Vue case for my iPad. The case’s list price is higher than Apple’s case but at retail it’s at the same $40 price point. The obvious comparison is that the Marware case [...]

iPad Case Review: Apple’s iPad Case
I bought Apple’s iPad case site unseen as a pre-order with my iPad. After initial disappointment the iPad grew on me. Here’s my review.
The iPad Dooms Apple & Kills Netbooks! WTF?
As if we needed another reason to doubt and hate analysts it now appears that these so called experts are saying that Apple will regret the iPad and that the iPad is killing the netbook. I’m sick of analysts and the people that present their reports as foregone conclusions.
Plants vs. Zombies: The Perfect iPad Game & App
All right, it’s not news that Plants vs. Zombies is a popular game. But I didn’t play it on my iPod Touch (or anything else) so when I bought the $10 iPad app it would be completely new to me. The iPhone version is only $3 but the iPad version does include a little unique [...]
Game Changer? Depends on the Game
Among all the iPad hype the term “game changer” has been used frequently, including in the headlines of the mainstream tech media. I hear terms like this and my reaction is always skeptical (to say the least). First off, how many game changers were seen as game changers from Day 1? Don’t most things promoted [...]
The Wait is Over
Apples magical and revolutionary product at an unbelievable price (aka iPad) arrived a few minutes ago despite UPS tracking teasing me by telling me it’s still between China and the US. Still, the magic will have to wait a little while longer. I upgraded iTunes this morning and it’s still going through and updating my [...]
